MASALA IDLI | MASALA IDLY
MASALA IDLI - A simple dish with leftover Idli's. Adjust the spice powders according to your taste buds and serve it hot.
For this recipe you need
3 leftover idli's , cut into small cubes
1 tsp. of aniseed
2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
2 red chillies
A sprig of curry leaves
1 large onion, finely sliced
1 ripe tomato, sliced
1 tsp. of ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. of chilli powder
1/2 tsp. of coriander powder
Pinch of crushed pepper powder
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Oil
Salt
Preparation
Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the aniseed seeds . Add the chillies and curry leaves
Add the onion and fry until soft. Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few seconds.
Add the tomatoes and sprinkle in the spice powders and cook on low heat. Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
Add the idli and mix well . Finally sprinkle pepper powder .Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.
Hot and delicious masala idli is ready to be served................
Serve it hot and enjoy :)
