Paneer Bhurji - Step By Step
Paneer -prepared from 1 litre milk (You can also use store bought paneer)
1 tsp. of cumin seeds
2 medium sized onions, finely choped
1 medium sized capsicum, deseeded and choped
1 medium sized tomato, desseded and finely choped
1 tsp. of ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
1 tsp. of coriander powder
1/2 tsp. of garam masala powder
salt
oil
Preparation
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and as they begin to darken, add the onion and fry until soft.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few secs. Add the capsicum and continue to fry for a couple of mins.
Meanwhile scramble the paneer and keep it aside.
Add the tomatoes, along with spice powder and salt and mix well. Allow to cook until well blended.
Stir in the scrambled paneer Keep stirring for few more min. Remove from heat and serve it hot.
Paneer bhurji is ready to be served..........
Serve this paneer bhurji with hot roti's and enjoy :)
Note:
If using a store bought paneer, drop them in a bowl filled with hot water and keep it aside for about 15 mins. It helps to make them soft.
Deseeding the tomatoes is nothing but removing the flesh part. As I want the dish to be little dry I have the chopped tomatoes in this way.
My recipe tastes less spicy , as I have skipped green chillies and chilli powder. You can adjust according to your taste.
